Family day to Rutland Water
Harry and Kathleen Young, from Builth Wells, spent a long weekend in Peterborough.
Where did you go on your trip?
We visited Rutland Water on the morning of Friday Aug 21st as part of a short visit to see our son David, who works and lives in Peterborough.
Rutland Water, with all its magnificent facilities including Fishing, Sailing and Cycling has something for everyone and is certainly "family" orientated.
Did you use any businesses during the trip?
During our visit we sought information from the very well appointed Visitors Centre with extremely helpful staff and enjoyed some refreshment at one of the cafes and picnic areas dotted around Rutland Water.
Would you go to Rutland Water again?
We intend visiting Rutland Water again and will certainly bring our bicycles as the flat terrain with the odd undulation would certainly make it a very enjoyable cycling experience, especially as in Mid Wales where we live, almost everywhere involves cycling uphill!
